Harvard partners with JourneyWell by HealthPartners
The Harvard School of Public Health is partnering with JourneyWell by HealthPartners and the HealthPartners Research Foundation. The goal of the partnership is to work together to research and recommend best practices for improving worksite health.
The partnership will involve researching comprehensive programs that drive outcomes, the connection between occupational safety and health to drive even better outcomes, and the relationship between physical activity and productivity.
HealthPartners was selected by Harvard because of our effective, evidence-based solutions, our innovative approach, and the dissemination of what is known to be effective. This partnership is complementary to our vision of integration of research and evidence into practical, sustainable solutions for population health improvement.
The extensive partnership includes a key role for JourneyWell Health Science Officer and Research Foundation Senior Investigator Nico Pronk, PhD, who has joined Harvard as an adjunct faculty member. As part of the faculty, Dr. Pronk will teach classes on evidence-based worksite health and the integration of occupational health and safety with health promotion.
Other key collaborations centered on HealthPartners innovations and evidence-based expertise in health and wellness include the Task Force on Community Preventive Services, EMGO Institute in Amsterdam and the Dutch Technology Institute (TNO Holland), and Incor/University of Sao Paulo.
